By plane

Thanks to the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway the city centre is easily reached in a 20-minute travel (Gdańsk Główny station). More about this mean of transport in Public transport section.
The airport is very well connected with the city centre not only via train but also via taxi or a bus.
You can choose from several taxi companies in the city that accept credit card or cash payment. More about this mean of transport in TAXI section.
You can rent a car from one of the car rental companies available just outside the airport or use minute/hour car rental service e.g. Traficar – several cars are always parked at the airport parking lot for tourist convenience.
City buses no. :
110 (through Matarnia shopping mall with e.g. IKEA, Galeria Bałtycka shopping mall and Gdańsk Wrzeszcz train station);
122 (through Gdańsk Wrzeszcz district near Galeria Bałtycka and train station, Baltic Campus of the University of Gdańsk or Sopot city centre);
210 (through Gdańsk city centre and Gdańsk Główny train station) run from/to the airport every 10-15 min.
N3 (route goes in 2 directions – to the Gdańsk Główny train station or to the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz train station) operates at night and runs every hour. Buses are located outside the Arrival Hall. Tickets can be bought from the driver for app. 1Euro.

By car
Gdańsk can be reached by using the following routes:
Amber One A1 Highway leading through the entire central part of the country from south to north (leading through Katowice, Lodz, to Gdańsk). Toll calculator for A1.
A2 Highway leading through the entire central part of the country from east to west (leading through Warsaw, Lodz, Poznan) – linking Brest (Belarus) with Berlin (Germany). It meets A1 in Lodz. Toll calculator for A2.
A4 Highway leading through the entire country in its south part from east to west (leading through Rzeszow, Krakow, Wroclaw) – linking Lviv (Ukraine) with Dresden (Germany). It meets A1 on the outskirts of Katowice. Toll calculator for A4.
Speed limits for motorcars : on highways is 140 km/h, on two-lane express roads – 120 km/h, on one-lane express roads – 100 km/h; on two-lane two-way roads – 100 km/h; on one-lane two-way roads – 90 km/h; in a built-up area – 50 km/h.
TAXI
You can choose from several taxi companies in the city that accept credit card or cash payment e.g. Neptun Taxi; Hallo Taxi; City Drivers Taxi; AS Taxi or use one of the online app. taxi booking systems e.g. iTaxi, mytaxi or uber.
Usually taxi companies charge additional 2 Euros if you call them on the street, therefore we encourage to call a taxi directly on the phone or book it online or via mobile application.
By train
The Polish State Railways (PKP) enables travel from any destination in Europe and beyond. Timetable and routes can be found at the following website: rozklad-pkp.pl/en. Tickets can be purchased at the Gdańsk Główny Station or Gdańsk Wrzeszcz Station ticket office.
Once in Gdańsk, you can use the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) or the Rapid Urban Railway (SKM) to move around the Tri-city. Please find more about both means of transport in Public transport section.
24 Kladki Street, where the 9th European Ostracodologists' Meeting will be held, can be reached on foot from the Gdańsk Główny train station (one of the junction points for Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway - PKM and the Rapid Urban Railway - SKM).
If you wish to visit the Baltic Campus of the University of Gdańsk, please get off at the Gdańsk Uniwersytet station (travelling by the Rapid Urban Railway - SKM) or the Gdańsk Strzyża station (travelling by the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway - PKM).
Tickets can be purchased onboard (cash or contactless payment is accepted), from ticket mashines available at any train station or from ticket desk at selected train stations.

Public transport
Thanks to the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway the city centre is easily reached within a 20-minutes train ride from the airport (Gdańsk Główny station). Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway is also well connected with the Rapid Urban Railway. Such stations as Gdańsk Główny in the city centre, Gdańsk Wrzeszcz with adjacent GALERIA BAŁTYCKA and METROPOLIA shopping malls, and Gdynia Główna – in the city centre are the junction points. The Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway, open for travel in 2015, connects the outskirts of the city, including the airport, with Gdańsk and Gdynia city centres, whereas the Rapid Urban Railway connects all major cities within Tri-city conurbation and beyond, and is one of the most popular means of transport for tourists and commuters.
The Baltic Campus of the University of Gdańsk can be reached by the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway within a 15-minute ride from the Gdańsk Główny train station (stop at the Gdańsk Strzyża station) or via Rapid Urban Railway (stop at the Gdańsk Uniwersytet station).

Buses and trams are commonly used in Gdańsk. It is cheap and fast way to travel. Routes and schedules are available at: http://www.ztm.gda.pl/en/ . One way ticked costs app. 1 Euro. You can also choose an hourly ticket allowing transportation by any bus or tram within Gdańsk administration area for a similar price. Tickets can be purchased onboard, from ticket machines, usually placed next to a bus / tram stop, or from any kiosks / newsstand in the city.
